Overview

Digitalisation brings significant benefits such as improved productivity, enhanced customer services, and creating new opportunities for innovation. The symposium on digital trust aims to provide a platform for researchers, practitioners, and innovators to identify challenges in digitalisation and trust concerns, build up knowledge ecosystems and new research directions to boost the trust in the digital economy, and deliver industry impact to accelerate technology innovation. The scope of the symposium will encompass, but not be limited to, the following areas:

  • Trustworthy AI/ML: Discussing trustworthy AI/ML in building digital trust and the challenges involved in ensuring privacy, robustness, fairness, and explainability in AI/ML algorithms, services, and systems.
  • Distributed Ledgers: Exploring blockchain technology in establishing decentralized trust and its applications such as trusted decentralised ID.
  • Privacy-Enhancing Techniques: Addressing privacy concerns for digital trust through PETs such as secure computation and confidential computing.
  • Data Protection: Investigating next generation database solutions for encrypted database queries and processing.
  • Trusted Applications: Presenting case studies and real-world applications of digital trust in sectors such as healthcare, energy, finance, education, and e-commerce.
